Are you an artist who wants to make a living from your craft, but also stay true to your vision and passion? Do you struggle with selling your art, finding your audience, and funding your projects? If so, you are not alone. Many artists face these challenges and opportunities every day, and they each have valuable stories and insights to share.

We are thrilled to announce that our founder was invited to share her views on the VoiceBreak podcast's 10th episode. Marika is a talented artist and a new business owner who recently graduated with her BAFA in 2021 and has been busy pursuing her MAFA. She has a diverse range of interests, making it challenging to describe her work in a single sentence. Nevertheless, Marika is a full-stack creative and can create artwork using traditional or digital mediums, graphic and print design, UX and website design, and runs her own SME. Likelino, her heart business, is a platform that aims to make printmaking more accessible and affordable by selling the artwork of other printmakers and hosting workshops.

In this episode, Marika shares her journey as an artist and a business owner, how she balances her passion and profession, and her thoughts on why selling her art never feels right to her. Her insights left the host speechless! She discussed the challenges and opportunities of being an artist and a business owner, and how she copes with them. Marika also shares her vision for an app that would revolutionize her company and give her a competitive edge. Despite the lack of funding for her venture, she remains hopeful that Likelino and their plans will be successful and beneficial for the printmaking community.

Marika and Tristan also reflect on the struggles of being a creative and a business owner and how it can be easier to struggle together than alone. They share their experiences and perspectives on this topic, encouraging fellow creatives to offer support to each other.

This episode is packed with wisdom, inspiration, and practical advice for anyone who wants to pursue their passion and profession as an artist and a business owner.
